Junk Cars

Keep Albany-Dougherty Beautiful (KADB) is a certified affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, Inc., which is a system focusing on changing people’s attitudes and behavior toward littering beautification and the proper management of waste. It is a joint venture between the Albany City Commission and the Dougherty County Commission. Volunteer members are appointed by the City and County and represent all segments of public interest.

Working through standing committees, local businesses, and interested civic and government groups to identify, develop, and coordinate programs that environmentally educate the citizens of Albany and Dougherty County, KADB believes that through education and community involvement, we are encouraging a sense of community pride and responsibility that will make our citizens more environmentally responsible.

By implementing a hands-on, grassroots education program that involves citizens from all walks of life, KADB’s public/private partnerships undergird environmental awareness through hands-on involvement, while implementing the theme “From Education to Application.”

Each year, thousands of volunteers donate hundreds of thousands of volunteer hours, which change environmental attitudes and behaviors that will impact future generations.
