Dougherty County Seeking Contractors for Housing Improvement Program
Dougherty County is seeking qualified contractors to participate in its Community Home Investment Program (CHIP), which supports housing rehabilitation efforts throughout the community.
As part of this effort, the County is recruiting contractors to assist with upcoming projects and encouraging participation in a Lead-Based Paint Certification Class to ensure compliance with federal requirements for housing rehabilitation work.
The certification class will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, in Camilla, Georgia. The course will cover required safety practices, lead-based paint regulations and certification requirements for contractors working on eligible properties. Details regarding class costs and topics are outlined in the attached flier.
Interested contractors are encouraged to complete a CHIP Contractor Application. Applications are available upon request and can be submitted to participate in upcoming project opportunities.
