Radium Springs is a natural spring located in Albany, Georgia. It is one of the "Seven Natural Wonders of Georgia" and is known for its clear, blue waters. The spring discharges 70,000 gallons of water per minute from an underwater cave. The water temperature is 68 degrees Fahrenheit year-round.
In the early 1800s, English settlers and explorers began to use the springs for swimming and fishing. In 1925, traces of radium were discovered in the water, which led to the development of a resort on the site and the name changing to Radium Springs.
