Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration
Dougherty County and the City of Albany invite the community to celebrate Juneteenth Freedom Day on Saturday, June 20, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Albany Civic Center, located at 100 W. Oglethorpe Blvd.
This year’s celebration theme is “Honoring the Past, Celebrating Our Future,” recognizing the significance of Juneteenth and the enduring contributions of African Americans to our community and nation.
The event will feature live entertainment from the Freedom Singers, Compilation Band and Soulful Soundz Band, along with Bingo with Ms. Tee and opportunities for community fellowship.
Children ages 17 and under will receive ticket to get a meal from the food trucks.
The event is open to the public.
