Dougherty County leaders joined community partners today at The Hope Center for a Community Investment Celebration highlighting a significant investment in workforce development and opportunity in our community.

WebstaurantStore and the Clark Associates Charitable Foundation announced a $200,000 donation to support The Hope Center and help launch a new kitchen initiative, including construction of the training space.

The initiative will provide hands-on hospitality and culinary training designed to prepare participants for employment in commercial kitchens, hospitals, hotels, schools and other food service settings — helping residents develop practical, career-ready skills that can lead to greater self-sufficiency and economic opportunity.
Dougherty County Commissioners Anthony Jones, District 6, and Clinton Johnson, District 3, delivered special community remarks. Georgia Commissioner of Labor Bárbara Rivera Holmes served as the guest speaker.

The investment represents what can happen when businesses, nonprofit organizations and local leaders work together to connect people with training, resources and pathways to employment.
