Dougherty County Statement on 2026 Property Revaluation and Assessment

ALBANY, Ga. - Dougherty County recognizes that the 2026 property assessment notices have generated significant questions and concerns among property owners. Receiving a notice showing a substantial change in property value can be concerning, particularly when residents are trying to determine what that change may mean for their property taxes.

The Dougherty County Board of Assessors has mailed the 2026 Property Assessment Notices. If you wish to appeal your property assessment, you may submit your appeal online through the Appeal Module on this website or in person at the Dougherty County Tax Assessors Office. Please note: The deadline to submit an appeal is October 5, 2026, at 11:59 PM.
