Dougherty County Property Tax Increase

NOTICE OF PROPERTY TAX INCREASE

August 9, 2022

The Dougherty County Board of Commissioners has tentatively adopted a millage rate, which will require an increase in property taxes by 22.87 % over the rollback millage rate for Countywide Tax Digest.

All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this tax increase to be held at the Government Center in Room 100, 222 Pine Avenue, Albany, Georgia

Monday, August 29, 2022, at 10:00 A.M., Room 100

This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 19.069 mills, an increase of 3.549 mills. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 15.520. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $100,000 is approximately $134.86 and the proposed tax increase for non-homestead property with a fair market value of $150,000 is approximately $212.94.
