A native of Athens, Georgia, Russell Gray has lived in Albany since 1977 and represents the citizens in District 4 of Dougherty County. A 1998 graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Biology and Management, Gray is also a 1995 graduate of Darton College with an associate’s degree in History. He currently serves as the Director of Physician Development for Privia Health. Previously, he served as Health Systems Specialist for Thermo Fisher Scientific in Georgia and North Florida. Prior to this role, he spent a number of years with several international pharmaceutical companies in a training and sales capacity.
Commissioner Gray and his wife, Lynn, have three children. Ansley, who is a student at Auburn University, and Will and Lilia, who are students at Deerfield-Windsor. When time allows, he enjoys time at the beach with his family, fishing, hunting, and Georgia Bulldog football!
